CARDBOARD VISTA
Cardboard Vista, 2023. India ink, oil on recycled cardboard. Approx 24” x 36”.
An exercise in process. Drawing on my immediate and past memories of “what’s outside the window”, I used bamboo sticks to sketch tree forms and landscape. The ridges in the cardboard provided great built-in texture for thin layers of oil paint. A story of addition and subtraction emerged.
