SKETCHBOOKS

I use sketchbooks to remember (views, scenes, colour, form), to learn (how to draw), to play and experiment (collage, mixed media) and for holding myself accountable to a creative practice.
Most of the quick drawings or ink sketches usually start with a reference point in the real world, but I don’t always retain those representations in the end; they are mostly prompts for variations on a theme.
Sketchbooks sizes vary: 5.5” x 5.5”, 7” x 7”, 5.5” x 8.5”, 8” x 10”. India ink, gouache, watercolour, acrylic, collage, graphite.
