Complements, 2022. Gouache, india ink, acrylic on recycled paper, 11” x 14”
This series of color studies was completed in one evening at the kitchen table. Working in multiples seems to be the solution to all my creative problems. The momentum I gain by moving from one piece to another frees the entire process from my tendency to overthink. Out of that freedom emerges the potential for more compositional possibilities.
