Arriving DECEMBER 2023
For a very long time, the landing page message on toddlaura.com was static. NEW SITE - COMING SOON lived here for years and years. Then I got optimistic and changed it to ARRIVING SPRING 2021. And since I value honesty, I made sure to update that to CHECK BACK IN SUMMER 2022.
Now it’s December of 2023 and I’m finally ready to open this up to more than just a vague promise. No more messing around with images and header styles. This thing needs to get sewn up and delivered. I have old work, new work, and work in progress to show. I have ideas to share, and (soon) small works on paper available for purchase. I’m ready to hit publish.
But whay toddlaura.com? Last name first and first name last was the only available option. lauratodd.com is owned by the infamous cookie company…
Further complicating search engine optimization: any combination of my name + art leads to many other artists named Laura Todd, all with websites and major social media presence. Somehow I’ll need to distinguish Laura Todd (me, artist in the Pacific Northwest) from all the other Laura Todd artists in Russia, Florida, and Iowa. This is a learn-as-I-go situation.
